What Is a Vaccine Injury?
A vaccine injury is an adverse medical condition legally shown to have been caused by a vaccine. It can take various forms, from injection-site complications to anaphylaxis or neurological disorders.
A symptom that begins after vaccination isn’t, by itself, proof that the vaccine caused the condition or that compensation is available. Eligibility may depend on the covered vaccine, diagnosis, timing of symptom onset, severity, medical evidence, and filing deadline under the applicable federal program.
The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP)
The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program was created through the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 and became effective on October 1, 1988. It is a federal no-fault alternative to traditional litigation for qualifying vaccine injury petitions. Claimants generally seek compensation from the federal government rather than suing vaccine manufacturers or medical providers directly.
Cases proceed through the Office of Special Masters within the United States Court of Federal Claims. We guide clients through this federal process, including eligibility review, medical-record development, petition preparation, and presentation of the evidence supporting the claim.

Vaccine Injury Lawyers in California
Licensed to Handle Federal Vaccine Injury Claims for California Residents
Serious adverse reactions are rare, but they can occur after vaccines for diseases such as polio, measles, and influenza. These reactions may include life-threatening allergic reactions, neurological conditions, seizures, and death.
Some individuals suffer arm or shoulder injuries from vaccinations, such as Shoulder Arm Injury (SIRVA). A reaction following vaccination doesn’t automatically establish causation or eligibility for compensation.
At Jeffrey S. Pop & Associates, we focus our practice on vaccine injury litigation and help individuals and families pursue compensation for qualifying injuries or deaths. We serve clients nationwide, including California residents, through the federal vaccine compensation process. Our attorneys are licensed to practice in the United States Court of Federal Claims, where National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program petitions are adjudicated.
Federal Vaccine Claim Representation With No Upfront Legal Costs
Our firm provides personalized legal guidance at each stage of a claim, from reviewing vaccination and medical records to preparing the petition and presenting evidence. We guide clients through the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) and determine whether the Vaccine Injury Table or an off-Table causation analysis may apply.
Clients don’t pay attorney fees or litigation costs upfront under our no-cost-to-clients model. We handle the federal legal process so clients can focus on treatment, recovery, and their families.
Discuss a Potential Federal Vaccine Injury Claim
If you have experienced conditions such as Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) or Transverse Myelitis (TM), we can review the vaccination history, symptom timing, treatment records, and potential federal claim pathway. You don’t need a complete medical file before requesting an initial evaluation.
